Welcome to the Southwest Michigan SWE Professional Section Page!

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a not-for-profit educational and service organization. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders.

The Southwest Michigan section was chartered in the spring of 2004. It covers most of Berrien County, MI, with the majority of our members located in the St. Joseph and Benton Harbor areas.  This section focuses on professional development, networking, and outreach events.  Members of the Southwest Michigan section invite interested parties to join them at their next meeting, or to contact them for further information.
